Carlyle Lake Fishing Event – April 25–27

Join us April 25–27 for a free veterans crappie fishing trip on Carlyle Lake.

Am Vets Outdoors is taking 10 veterans out for a weekend of guided fishing, great food, and good company. Boats, lodging, gear, and meals are all provided—100% free of charge. All you need is a valid Illinois fishing license and a way to get there.

Friday kicks things off with arrival, room assignments, and a fish fry to welcome everyone. You'll meet your guide and plan your attack for the weekend. The trip will be fully based on what you want to do—laid back or all-out, it's your call.

Saturday is a full day on the water chasing crappie with experienced guides who know the lake. On Sunday, we wrap up with a half-day of fishing, followed by goodbyes and sendoff. Anyone who wants to take fish home can—just make sure to bring a cooler.

Water, soda, and sports drinks will be provided throughout the weekend. It’s BYOB, so feel free to bring something of your own to relax with around the fire.
