Rend Lake All Female Fishing Event - May 10-12
Join us May 10–12 for a women-only veterans fishing retreat on Rend Lake.
This event is designed specifically for eight female veterans to relax, reconnect with the outdoors, and build meaningful relationships with other women who have served. It doesn’t matter if you’ve never picked up a rod or if you grew up on the water—all skill levels are welcome. This trip is about support, laughter, and shared purpose.
We’ll kick things off Friday evening with arrivals, room assignments, and a laid-back fish fry where everyone can meet, unwind, and get to know their guide. You’ll plan your weekend with your guide based on what you want to do—whether it’s sunrise fishing, mid-morning starts, or taking it slow and soaking it all in.
Saturday is a full day on the water chasing crappie from fully equipped, guided boats. Then on Sunday, we wrap up with a half-day of fishing and time to say our goodbyes. If you'd like to take home some fish, bring a cooler—everyone who wants to, will.
Water, soda, and sports drinks will be provided, and the trip is BYOB if you’d like to bring something to enjoy around the campfire at night.
Everything is 100% free—lodging, meals, gear, and guides are all covered. All we ask is that you bring a valid Illinois fishing license and your own transportation to the event.
Sign-ups are live now on Facebook. Eight women will be randomly selected and announced two weeks before the event. We truly believe in supporting our female veterans—not just with gear and guides, but with space to connect, breathe, and feel seen.
We’d be honored to have you with us.
